1. Who is eligible to become members of WOU Alumni?

All graduates who have been conferred an award (i.e. degree, graduate diploma, graduate certificate) as defined in the Malaysian Qualification Framework by Wawasan Open University is eligible to become Ordinary members of the WOU Alumni.

Individuals who have completed and passed at least one WOU course or completed programs offered by the University’s Professional and Continuing Education(PACE) programmes are eligible to apply to become Associate members of the WOU Alumni.

Any person who has made outstanding contribution to the Alumni and the University may be nominated for honorary membership and elected by majority votes during AGM.


2. How to apply for the membership of WOU Alumni Association?

The membership of WOU Alumni Association is divided into 3 categories:

a. Ordinary membership All graduates who have been conferred a degree or a diploma or a certificate by WOU.

b. Associate membership All students who have completed and passed any course offered by WOU through its Professional and Continuing Education programmes.

c. Honorary membership Any person who has made outstanding contribution to the Alumni and the University may be nominated for honorary membership and elected by majority votes during AGM.

As a graduate who have been conferred an award (i.e. degree, graduate diploma, graduate certificate) as defined in the Malaysian Qualification Framework by Wawasan Open University, you automatically become an Ordinary member of the WOU Alumni.

There is no payment required.

You are, however, requested to complete the registration form which can be downloaded from the Alumni website and and submit to Alumni Liaison Office via email (alumni@wou.edu.my) of fax to 04-227 9214. For Associate Membership, please apply through the same form.

There is a registration fee of RM25.00.


3. What are the benefits of becoming a member of WOU Alumni Association?

When you become a member of the WOU Alumni Association, you will enjoy the following benefits:-

- Have access to the news concerning the University.

- Have the link and access to the list of WOU alumnus.

- Participation in activities/gatherings organised by the Association.

- Have access to the use of facilities of the Association.

 

4. How do I connect with other members of WOU Alumni Association?

Login to Alumni Portal and click “My Community”. My Community is specially created to serve as a platform for sharing and discussions among alumni members.


5. How do I login to the Alumni Portal?

If you have registered with WOU Alumni Association, you may login through the homepage of the alumni website.


6. How do I update my personal profile in the Alumni Portal?

Login to Alumni Portal and click the edit button in the Alumni Profile page.

You may update your personal profile such as name, title, mailing address, telephone number, handphone number, fax number, email address, job designation and organisation / company name.


7. What should I do if I forgot my User ID or Password to log in to this portal?

You can send an email to alumni@wou.edu.my to request for the User ID and reset the password.

 

8. Can I change my User ID or Password to log in to this portal?

No, you can’t change the User ID as it has been preset based on your personal profile.
To change password, click on the “change password” button on the log in page.
